How Do I Get A Quote For The Band?

How Do I Book The Band?
When we have agreed upon the details and a price you will be posted two copies of an Engagement Contract to be read, signed and returned with a deposit. When this has been received the band will officially be booked! We can take payment by BACS or cheque. A 10% deposit is due to book the band, the remaining balance is due 28 days before the event.
How long does the band play for?
We play 2 x 60 minute sets as standard. Music finishes at midnight. These are our standard times, if you require anything different then please ask.
Will it be loud?
Our role is to ensure that everyone has a great time and dances as much as possible, not to play as loudly as possible! However, being a 5-piece band there is inevitably a certain sound level; necessary. The quietest that we can be is the volume of an acoustic drum kit. if you feel that this might be too loud for you then we are probably not the band for you! It is worth consulting with the staff at the venue of your event to see if they are suitable for a live band and if it is something they regularly have. We try to be as sensitive to each individual situation as possible.
Will it be loud enough?
Yes, as long as we have venue, size and capacity at the time of booking. We use a sound system that the band travels with for rooms of 170 people or less. For larger venues and/or marquees we hire a sound company.
Can I Make Requests?
Yes! If you have special requests from our playlist then we will include as many as possible. We will make sure we 'work the room' ensuring the dance floor is as full as possible!
Can I Make Disco Requests?
Yes. Send us your requests at least 7 days prior to your event and we will include as many of them as time permits. We will accommodate as many requests on the actual evening as possible but we may not have every song you ask for on the laptop. If there are songs you really want to hear then please let us know in plenty of time so that we can get hold of them.
Can The Band Play Our First Dance?
Yes. First Dances can be played by the band or in their original version through the Disco sound system. If the song is not in the band's current repertoire then please do ask us and we will learn it and play it for you!
What Will The Band Wear?
We have a smart 'black and white' look (singer in colour), but we can wear dinner suits if your event is 'black tie'.
What Should I Provide For The Band On The Day?
In The UK:
Dressing Room: A changing room big enough for 5 (7 if we hire our sound company) people to change in and hang out whilst not playing for you (any comforts welcome!).
Food: 5 hot meals and drinks please (7 if we are bringing our sound company). more often than not the band can be at the venue for up to 8 hours. We don't like to leave the venue on a mission for food and not be around if you need us!
Parking: Please provide free parking for 5 cars (and a long wheel base van if we are sourcing our sound company).
The same as above, plus:
The cost of: Hotel, flights for the musicians (and in some cases their instruments); meals for the duration of the stay; transport.
Sound Company - our technical requirements will be provided at the time of the booking.
Where Can I See The Band?
Unfortunately all of our gigs are private functions so this is difficult to arrange. With this in mind we have tried to make our website as helpful as possible, with a selection of images, audio and video clips, repertoire lists and client feedback.
Does The Band Provide Sound And Lighting?
If you have already hired a sound company for your event then we can simply send them a 'tech spec' stating our requirements. or, we can hire in sound and lighting if necessary. We have an excellent relationship with a great UK company who give us exclusive competitive rates.
How Much Space Does The Band Need?
In general, the more space the better! We can however fit into 6m x 3m if necessary; when we are hiring in our sound company an additional space of 1.5m x 1m should be left for the sound engineer to the side or somewhere in front of the stage.
